Delivering news (Korrasami)

“Korra!” Bolin ran over to hug his friend in a warm embrace, causing her to lift off the ground. The girl laughed and giggled at the earth benders antics. The two continued to talk.
Standing on the side, Mako wore a ghost of a smile that the other three could easily see. “You two have been gone a while.
“Yeah, almost two months.” The Sato heir stood next to him, both looking at Bolin and Korra. “How’s it been here?”
“It’s good. Everything’s great; just a couple more building to fix from Kuvira’s rampage.”
“Is everything okay Mako?” She looked him over slowly. “You’re acting sort of… like you’re nervous.”
“Nervous?” He didn’t look at his ex, instead he waved his hand to brush off the idea she had. “We’re just glad you two are back.”
She smiled. “We’re glad to be back.”
“Hey, Mako.” Bolin’s voice had both of their attention. The muscular male hand his arm around Korra’s shoulder as came closer. “Dude look at Korra’s necklace. Isn’t it awesome? It’s all pretty and shiny and- I think Katara has one sort of like it too.”
The fire bender looked at the necklace, agreeing that it did look a little familiar. And then it hit him. “That’s a water tribe betrothal necklace.”
Bolin gasps before looking to the Avatar. “You’re getting married!”
“Actually I’m-“
“I’m so happy for you Korra! Did you know about this Asami? Korra why did you come back and tell us the moment it happened. We can plan, pick colors, food; I think we could talk with your mom about this.”
“Bolin.” Asami tried talking but was ignored.
“I and Pabu will be your wedding planners. You will have the best wedding in Republic City. Even bigger than Varrick’s- and I helped with that one.”
“Bolin!” Mako was also ignored by his brother.
“Ooh! Can I be in the wedding? Please. But I must warn you that I’ll be the life of the reception, but I won’t let you get any less light.”
This time all three spoke in unison. “Bolin!”
Korra let out a small chuckle. “I’m glad you want to do so much Bolin, but I’m already married.”
The green eyed looked from Korra to Mako to Asami and back to Korra. “Well that sucks. I missed the wedding. How can this get any worse?”
“Actually…” Asami’s voice trailed on as she lifted up her left hand to show off the band on her ring finger. Her cheek grew red, as well as Korra’s. “You missed my wedding too.”
No one noticed but Mako’s eye twitched.
The earth bender’s jaw dropped and his eyes were as big as saucers. “Dang it, we missed two wedding. What are the chances?”
“You don’t get it Bolin. You only missed one.” She grabbed Korra’s hand, lacing their fingers together. “Korra and I got married to each other.”
Both of the males were quiet. The earth bender could stay quiet for long as she smiled big showing his pearly whites. With seconds, he formed a group hug with the girls.
“I’m so happy for you two.” He cried. “Korra and Asami are married!”
“What?” A voice was heard in the far distance just as sight of wind and dirt came through the air. The young air bender ran from an unknown location and stood right in front of the group. “Korrasami is real!” Ikki smiled and jumped around.
“How did you-“
“I have great hearing. I heard everything since you two got here; even Mako’s grunts.” The young girl was hyper as ever but didn’t notice the policeman’s flushed expression. “I’m so excited. I’m going back to the island and write more fanfiction of you guys.” Without a goodbye, she ran off.
“Uh…” Korra had a confused look on her face. “Korrasami?”
Bolin: “What’s fanfiction?”
“And why did she mention more like there was already a lot of it?” Asami inquired.
Mako just stayed silent. He knew this would be a long day for all of them.
