Heart thumping in her chest, the fluttering feeling in the gut, palms moist with sweat; the Avatar thought she was freaking out. Shooting up from her spot on the ground, all she thought about was running away.
“Korra!”
Jyst as the voice called out her name a hand gripped her wrist. She didn’t struggle but she was aware of those watching.
“Korra…” The voice of her dear friend was much softer this time but she still didn’t face her.
Blue eyes skimmed to the right to see the Aye-Aye spirit looking at her. Sighing, the Avatar turned to face her friend once more- blushing at the sight of green eyes and red stained lips.
“I… I’m sorry, Asami.” The sorrow note in her voice could barely be heard past the two of them and the spirit. “This was supposed to be a ritual of friendship and I messed it up. I don’t know what came over me. I don’t know what I was thinking- it just happened. First thing I know is that we’re sitting in front of each other and then I’m looking at you and-“
“Whoa, easy there Korra. You’re starting to sound like Ikki.” A small smile radiated the Sato’s features. “Let’s just sit back down and continue, okay?”
Hesitant, she nodded. “Alright.”
As they sat back down a sigh escaped the tall spirit. “Are you done now Avatar?”
“Yes, I’m good.” She quickly pouted before assuming the meditating state.
The Aye-Aye spirit continued his chant. Some of his words were a language neither female could understand and others were clear. The other spirits within the area were silent and watched on. Seeing humans in the Spirit world staying for such a long time seemed to intrigue them; they enjoyed the company of Korra and Asami over the past couple weeks.
The ritual continued, this time Korra stayed in her seat, eyes shut. Within just a few moments, she felt an odd sensation. It was a good odd that she was okay with and wanted to embrace it. This was something she and Asami wanted to try out when they heard of it in hopes of being more connected as friends.
The sensation that Korra felt went from mental to more physical. A little amount of pressure pushed softly on her lips. She’s felt this feeling before but it had been so long ago. Once the pressure was gone, she opened her eyes to see Asami’s face so close to her’s. The tint of red was visible on the engineer’s face and she knew it was on her’s as well.
“Asami…”
“Are you two going to keep interrupting?” Aye-aye said with a tinge of annoyance.
The two looked to the spirit before looking back at one another- other still blushing.
“Maybe…” Asami began. “Maybe this was thanks to the ritual.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. Yeah, she may be right.” The Avatar smiled her pearly whites.
“The ritual is to help heighten of friendship at newer level. I felt the spiritual connection and it moved me to…” She smiled, blushing again, and looked to Korra. “Kissing you.”
Happiness seemed to well up in her heart. Hands gripped the woman’s in front of her.
Aye-Aye looked between the two before muttering something about humans. He cleared his throat and stood tall. “This concludes the Friendship ritual.”
The spirit’s around the cheered for the two, but they didn’t seem to notice as much. They felt like it was just the two of them.

Korrasami: The Proposal
It was a frosty evening in Republic City. It was the middle of the second month of the year, a day termed “Lovers' Day.” Its history is far reaching, and can be traced back to a small clan of monks who travelled the world many centuries ago. The monks brought with them words of love, reminding others of the existence of love and its many forms—romantic, platonic, family. It was a day people used to remind their friends, family, and special ones how important and valued they were. And to Korra, it couldn't be a more perfect time.
The Avatar had wandered out to the wild edges of Republic City some days ago. She found a smal

Korra laid on her back, the pain coming from her side was too much to bare. She looked at her hand, which had been pressed against her side a few seconds ago. It was covered in blood, her blood. She felt how hard it became to take a breath. Her throat seemed to close up while a thought slipped in her mind. ‘I’m dying...’
The battle was over, her enemy was defeated but she hadn’t been able to get out of the battle unharmed. Her heart felt like it was going to explode from fear. She didn’t want to die all alone. She started to panic and tried to get up. Crying in pain she cancelled her thoughts of getting up. Her

Jealousy
Her eyes were as green as Korra’s envy.
The headstrong Avatar was a skeptic on love, especially at first sight. However, she certainly believed in attraction, and this was her only explanation as to why she bristled in jealousy when she saw this new girl draped over Mako like a wet blanket.
What was her name? Oh, Asami. Miss Asami Sato.
Despite herself, Korra found her eyes wander to the raven-haired girl, trailing down her glossy tresses, taking in the sway of her hips, the swell of her-

In participation to the Korrasami wedding blog on tumblr (linkies:korrasamiweddingday.tumblr.com…) I've put together a series of really short stories. I've adore this pairing idea since Season 2, or maybe 1, and was thrilled with the series finally.
